  • Understanding low blood sugar

  • Managing an emergency (Primary and Secondary Surveys) 

  • Minor and severe bleeding

  • Recognition and management of poisons

  • Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)

  • Seizures

  • Shock

  • Spinal injuries

  • Stroke

  • Management and recognition of the unresponsive adult

  • Infection prevention (latest guidance on COVID-19 as per Public Health England)
